Danny Litwhiler Passes Away
Former Michigan State baseball coach and major league all-star Danny Litwhiler, considered to be one of the greatest innovators in the history of the sport, passed away Friday (Sept. 23) morning in Clearwater, Fla. He was 95.

Napoleon and Miller Join Coaching Staff
Dusty Napoleon and Brian Miller have been named to the University of Iowa baseball coaching staff, head coach Jack Dahm announced Monday. Napoleon will serve as the undergraduate assistant coach and Miller has been named director of baseball operations.
Merriman to Take Over as Pitching Coach
Steve Merriman — who has more than 15 years of experience as a coach and scout, including the 1995 and 2002 seasons as an assistant at Michigan — has been named the Wolverines’ pitching.
Golf Tourney Benefits Baseball

Baseball Begins Fall Practice
The defending Big Ten Champion Michigan State baseball team begins fall practice this week in preparation for its exhibition at Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 17. Michigan State will conclude fall practice with the five-game Green-White World Series beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 11 and finishing on Sunday, Oct. 16.
