The Indiana Hoosiers men’s golf team slipped two spots to eighth place going into Sunday’s final round of the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club. The Hoosiers posted a second round total of 19-over 299, moving the squad to 27-over (587) for the tournament.
Illini in 9th After Day Two of Olympia Fields
The No. 13 Illinois men’s golf team finished round two of the Olympia Fields/Fighting lllini Invitational presented by Polo with a second round score of 299 for a total of 588 (+28) at the par-70 course. The Illini are in ninth place, just five strokes behind fifth-place Florida State and Alabama. Stanford leads the tournament with a one-under par score of 559.

Hoosiers Geared Up for Tough Test at Olympia Fields
The Indiana Hoosiers men’s golf team makes its second consecutive trip to the state of Illinois for the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational this weekend at Olympia Fields Country Club. The event begins on Friday, Sept. 16 with an 18-hole first round, followed by 18 holes on both Saturday and Sunday.
Men’s Golf Places Third at Wolverine Intercollegiate
Fueled by three top-10 individual finishes, the Michigan State men’s golf team placed third at the Wolverine Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the University of Michigan Golf Course. The Spartans shot a three-round score of 1-over par 853 (285-276-292), tying for the eighth-lowest 54-hole team score in program history. Seniors Dan Ellis and Chris Mory, and junior Matthew Moseley all placed in the top-10 for the Spartans, in addition to all setting new career 54-hole low scores. Final Results
