Red Berenson Show to Debut on Sept. 27 from Pizza House
The Red Berenson Show will make its 2011-12 season debut on Tuesday (Sept. 26) from 6-7 p.m. in its new location at Pizza House in Ann Arbor. The show will run every Tuesday (except Oct. 4) during the season.

Michigan to Host Open House at Yost Arena on Friday, Sept. 23

U-M will host an open house on Friday, Sept. 23, from 3:20-6 p.m. at Yost Ice Arena. The event will feature practice, Skate with the Wolverines, and locker room tours for season ticket holders.

Hockey Season Tickets On Sale Thursday
Hockey season tickets for new season and partial-season ticket holders will be available in the Spartan ticket office beginning on Thursday, Sept. 15 for sale to the general public. Spartan head coach Tom Anastos – a 1987 MSU graduate and a standout for the hockey team from 1981-85 – takes the reins of the MSU program for the 2011-12 season. A new era of Spartan hockey is underway – and there’s no better time to be a part of the action!

Former U-M Great MacFarland Passes Away at 79
Bill MacFarland (1954-56), who captained U-M to the 1955 and ’56 national titles and was a three-time All-American before embarking on a pro hockey and legal career, has passed away at the age of 79.

Wolverines, Buckeyes to Play January Outdoor Game in Cleveland
Michigan and Ohio State will play an outdoor game entitled “The Frozen Diamond Faceoff” on Jan. 15, 2012, at Progressive Field, home to the Cleveland Indians.

Yanakeff Added to WJC Evaluation Camp
Michigan State sophomore goaltender Will Yanakeff (Jerome, Mich.) has been added to the pool of athletes which will compete in the 2011 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, NY. This camp will begin Saturday, Aug. 6 and run through Aug. 13 at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, N.Y.
