Henneghan Scores OT Goal to Lift Penn State Over Lehigh
In a game of runs, the No. 20 Penn State men’s lacrosse team put one together when it counted, scoring the final three goals of the game to beating Lehigh in overtime, 8-7. Sophomore face-off man Danny Henneghan (Beverly Hills, Mich.) scored the game-winner mere seconds into overtime to grab Penn State the one-goal CAA road victory. The Nittany Lions are now 5-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 in conference play, while Lehigh falls to 6-5 (2-2 CAA).
Buckeyes Fall in ECAC Opener to Loyola
In its first ECAC game of the season, the No. 17/19 Ohio State men’s lacrosse team fell to Loyola, 12-9, in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus Saturday. The game opened a two-game homestand for the Buckeyes (5-5, 0-1 ECAC), who will host Hobart at 1 p.m. next Saturday (April 9) in Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
