Spartan Gymnastics Receives NACGC/W Academic Honors

As announced by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W), the Michigan State gymnastics program was recognized for having the eighth-highest grade point average (GPA) in the nation this year with a 3.5494 composite team mark. In addition, nine Spartan gymnasts were named Scholar All-Americans for having a GPA of 3.5 or better during the 2010-11 academic year.

Illini Athletes Named A Big Ten Distinguished Scholars

A total of 51 University of Illinois student-athletes were among those who have been named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, the conference office announced today. The award recognizes those individuals who have maintained a minimum grade-point average of 3.70 or higher during the 2010-11 academic year.

34 Hawkeyes Receive Distinguished Scholar Award

Thirty-four University of Iowa student-athletes have been honored by the Big Ten Conference with the Distinguished Scholar Award. Among the 34 Hawkeye honorees, 10 maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the previous academic term.
