Women’s Tennis Concludes Final Day of Spartan Invitational

In its final day of action at the Spartan Invitational, the Michigan State women’s tennis team recorded a weekend-best five singles victories. Freshman Hilary Hager tallied three back-to-back singles wins over the past three days in Draw C Singles. Hager went 3-1 in singles play this weekend.

IU Adds Three Singles Wins to Wrap Up adidas Hoosier Classic

The third and final day of the 2011 adidas Hoosier Classic concluded with singles matches. Indiana added three more singles victories with freshmen Shannon Murdy and Katie Klyczek going a perfect 3-0 on the weekend. Their classmate Carolyn Chupa also had a great weekend a runner-up finish in the second flight.

Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Day Two of Spartan Invitational

The Michigan State women’s tennis team concluded its second day of hosting the Spartan Invitational. Due to the MSU home football game, Saturday’s action took place at both East Lansing High School and Mason High School. The Spartans ended the day with one doubles win and two singles victories in the Draw C Singles.

Women’s Tennis Completes First Day of Spartan Invitational

The Michigan State women’s tennis team completed the first day of the Spartan Invitational, tallying two doubles wins and a total of four singles victories. Freshman Julianne Gruber went undefeated in singles play, going 2-0 in the Draw C Singles bracket. The Spartans also saw success in the Draw B Doubles with the duo of freshman Hilary Hager and redshirt junior Dana Guentert. Sophomores Olga Chernova and Jennifer Yen both posted wins to round out top play for the Spartans.
